Meet Mike Stevens

Mike founded M.A. Packaging Engineers Ltd after a career spanning more than 43 years in the paper and packaging industry. Starting his engineering journey at just 16 years old, he has dedicated his working life to maintaining, installing and improving machinery for manufacturers across the UK and internationally.
Throughout his career, Mike has worked on projects around the world, building extensive knowledge of packaging machinery and production environments. His experience ranges from planned maintenance and machinery installations to troubleshooting complex breakdowns and supporting major production upgrades. This breadth of experience allows him to quickly understand challenges, identify practical solutions and help customers minimise downtime.
Known for his straightforward, hands-on approach, Mike believes that good engineering is built on reliability, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to supporting customers when they need it most. These values remain at the heart of M.A. Packaging Engineers Ltd today.
Away from work, Mike's passion for engineering continues through his involvement with the preservation and operation of the historic LMS Jubilee Class steam locomotive Bahamas (No. 45596). As a volunteer engineer, he helps maintain and operate one of Britain's most iconic steam locomotives, applying the same craftsmanship and dedication that has defined his professional career.
After more than four decades in the industry, Mike remains as passionate about engineering as ever, continuing to support customers throughout the paper and packaging sector with the practical expertise and dependable service that have become his trademark.
